Don’t get me wrong, this is a fine specimen, and I think it’s time for Jeep to bring out another Golden Eagle. The JL’s much more aesthetic design than the JK would, I think, work well with it.
But holy hell is this pricy. $36k. I’d grab it in another lifetime where I actually were fiscally responsible enough to have money now to be fiscally irresponsible .
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I should do a post on Golden Eagles over the years.

Just think, for the amount you've spent on repairs for the LJ, you could have this entire other Jeep ;)

My local dealer had a 2018 JK Golden Eagle Sport a few weeks ago. It had the tan top & crank windows still, along with being over $30,000.
I like the tan & the tan leather, especially with fun colors on the JL, but I think a lot of people would find it tacky. A tan one touch top would be nice, as I’d only get the one touch top on a Jeep.

I didn’t even know there was a Golden Eagle JK. Fascinating.

Thanks for rubbing it in.
Only 8k more to spend before it might finally be ready for a new catastrophe!

Ah jeeze!

So cool. I love the color and that hood emblem is fantastic.
Somebody will probably pay the price for it too, because nothing makes sense. So a 40 year old Jeep for $36k that's too nice to off road? Sure why not.

The teal engine was put there just to tempt me into reckless spending.

Is that the correct color or? I have no idea.
But a 304 with a manual trans is exactly the drivetrain I'd want in this (full disclosure: I'm not a Jeep guy but do admire them).

Beats me. I know exactly nothing about V8s, or really any engine except the classic AMC straight 6, and that only enough to identify it in a photo and (probably) recognize its rumble.
(I say “ probably” because, after six years of Jeeping, I’ve only been in four Jeeps besides mine.)

I be lieve that is the correct color.

Ah ok - was just wondering why you mentioned it. Presume it was just because you liked the look then, which is cool.
Shop- teacher thinks it is correct.

Ok - I know squat about AMC or Jeeps, but this one looks meticulous enough that I would guess it's correct.

I have a bit of an obsession .

Haha - I must have missed those, or not connected the dots.
I once factory ordered a Saturn SC2 in a teal/turquoise, so I get it. It was really more turquoise though.

Definitely not the same charm, and I definitely prefer the old hood emblem, but it took me a long time to fall in love with it. The new one would have been much easier for me initially.

I’m severely disappointed that Jeep seems to have retired the Bikini. That color was enough to get me very interested in buying a new JL.

My dad has a CJ with the 304 and the 3 speed manual. It makes wonderful noises and moves along quite nicely. It was an awesome vehicle to learn how to drive on.

We need another Jamboree too.

Huh, don’t think I’ve ever bumped into that before. 630 made? Crikey.

I have seen some on CL, but this is the best place to look.
